Ep.01 – Pilot: Actor Vince Chase is about to have his latest film Head On open across the country. With him along for the ride are his crew, his brother Johnny Drama and his best friends, Eric and Turtle, who’ve known him since his early days in Queens. In the opener, Eric ends up clashing with Vince’s superagent, Ari, who thinks he has found the perfect project for him. After Eric convinces Vince that the film is a bad move, Ari goes ballistic.
Ep.02 – The Review: Vince gets a poor review on his latest film and decides to go shopping for a new car. Eric cannot believe that Ari wants Vince to get another manager. Also, Jessica Alba invites the guys to a party.
Ep.03 – Talk Show: After Vince agrees to do an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Drama becomes outraged and Shauna is also upset because she wanted him to be on Letterman or Leno. Ari tries his best to land Sarah Silverman as his latest client. Also, Eric tries his best to say goodbye to his ex, Kristen.
Ep.04 – Date Night: As Vince’s film Head On finally opens in theaters, he has no urge to go and watch the film. Instead he wants to hang out with the guys. The crew decides to make it “date night”, which includes Vince bringing pop star Justine Chapin.
Ep.05 – The Script and the Sherpa: Vince has himself a new girl named Fiona and the rest of the crew is not to happy about her because she’s trying to change Vince’s routine around and doesn’t want him to hang so much with the guys. While at the gym, Eric is given a script by another agent, and urges Vince to take the project because it’s set in Queens. Meanwhile, Drama is concerned about all of his friends’ relationships.
Ep.06 – Busey and the Beach: The boys begin their day at Ari’s office. They pair off: Drama prepares to meet his potential new agent and drags Turtle with him while Eric & Vince attend a special meeting. The “meeting” is basically an ego-booster for Vince where a roomful of agents try to entice him with potential projects. Drama discovers that his situation is an entirely different story when he finds his new agent answering his own phone in a cubicle. When he explains that it’s going to be hard to find new jobs, an angered Drama storms out with some, ummm, dramatic parting words. Later, the boys attend Gary Busey’s art opening where they bump into aspiring agent Josh Weinstein. They leave the opening with an invitation to a hot beach party and go out with a bang, thanks to Turtle. Emily lets Ari know that he should be a little nervous about the whole situation. At the beach party, a dejected Drama meets another old actor friend who is a waiter for a catering company. Turtle confronts Gary Busey with some interesting results. When Eric lets Ari know about their disapproval, Ari leaves his kid’s birthday party to have an honest conversation with the pair. After things are settled, Ari lets Drama in on some somewhat surprising news.
Ep.07 – The Scene: As the pre-production of Queens Boulevard is underway, Vince is fond of the indie director hired, but Eric has some major concerns, especially when he finds out that a scene has been added which will put Vince in an awkward position. Meanwhile, Drama gets some extra money courtesy of a residual check and Turtle wants some of it to spend on “dancers”. Also, Ari decides it’s time to mix business with some pleasure.
Ep.08 – New York: As production on “Queens Boulevard” is about to begin, the boys are preparing to go to New York City for the next three months. Vince puts Turtle in charge of their “bon voyage” party, which proves to be a pain-in-the-neck for Eric later on. Meanwhile, Drama has been noticeably more recognizable around L.A. these days, and his agent tells him that the producers of “CSI: Minneapolis” want him to audition for a co-starring role- the trouble is, the pilot’s production will conflict with his small part in “Queens Boulevard”. Eric has an epiphany while waiting outside for Vince to finish with one of his lady friends: he wants a title commensurate with his responsibilities. After seeking advice and support from Ari, he gets to work on pitching himself to Vince. When their dinner meeting ends on a sour note, it looks like Vince’s entourage will be minus one. En route to the airport, Drama points out to Vince that he will never find a person better suited to be his manager. A few last minute surprises occur on both ends out on the tarmac.
